The Challenge
When our organization launched a new leadership development program, I was tasked with ensuring strong adoption and engagement with the associated training assets. Early on, it became clear that while our learning management system (LMS) offered reporting tools, the raw data was difficult to analyze and not easily actionable for stakeholders.
My Approach
To make sense of the data, I began by downloading reports directly from the LMS. I noticed that the volume and complexity of the data made it hard to extract meaningful insights at a glance. To solve this, I used Power BI to transform the data into an interactive, visual format. I built a custom dashboard that brought together:
- Audience engagement metrics
- Course participation and completion statistics
- Feedback and survey results
The Outcome
The result was a Leadership Dashboard that empowered key stakeholders to explore the success of the program dynamically. With built-in filters and slicers, leaders could drill into details by region, team, or course, making it easy to identify what was working—and what needed improvement.
This dashboard became a central tool in our efforts to drive engagement and communicate program impact across the organization.
